At the deepest level, the creative process and the healing process arise from a single source. When you are an artist, you are a healer; a wordless trust of the same mystery is the foundation of your work and its integrity.

About

Hali Karla is a contemplative artist, teacher and creative-soul-caregiver who is passionate about helping others cultivate holistic perspective and creative practice as a tool for navigating life, relationships and times of change. She enjoys offering explorations to others that inspire self-acceptance + development, catalyze healing, celebrate wholeness and honor the mystery of interconnection.

Her experience as a lifelong artist and years as an end-of-life nurse - along with her passions for theology, astrology, and how we relate and perceive - all contribute to a rich framework for her approach and imagery.

When guiding others, Hali has been described as a heart-healer who “evokes a dynamic sense of the sacred," while holding safe space for making meaningful connections, brave truth-telling, and activating creative joy + courageous transformation.

Her daily prayer, faith and art practices guide and ground her life and work in the world.

Hali lives in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina with her husband - musician and artist Steve Karla – and their beloved four-legged companions.
