Art Heals day 5 :: Giveaway! {free spot for 21 Secrets LIVE!}

acrylic + watercolor + pencil + ink + oil pastel + prayer on journal pages

Creative Souls, it's Giveaway time!!

What better way is there to celebrate Art + Healing than to be able to give away a FREE spot to the 21 Secrets LIVE! Art Journaling Experience that begins in January and runs for 21 weeks (hosted by Dirty Footprints Studio)??! There will be a different art journaling guest teacher each week.

It's a creativity party you can participate in right from the comfort of your own home!

And guess what - you'll see me there, too - because I'll be co-hosting right alongside Connie of DFS and Lisa Wilson of Being Breath.

I can't speak enough about the benefits of having a visual (art) journaling practice. It has changed my life - and that of so many others I know as a way of expressing themselves. It truly is a tool for insight and healing.  There's no experience needed - and don't be fooled into thinking you need fancy supplies either (though they can be fun, too!).

My own journals become a mix of writing, painting, doodles, scribbles, fodder from life, photos, lists, and more. They are a testimony of my days and experience, and a safe place to release emotion and ideas.

PLUS, they are a heck of a lot of fun! In fact, one of my favorite things to do is get together with other art journalers and see their journals, talking about what their practice looks like. Because every person has a different approach and style to their pages.

That's what makes 21 Secrets LIVE! so exciting! It's a gathering of 21 artist~teachers, coming together with a community of other visual journalers, to share in the creative energy of making art at the same time, from different places all over the world. There will be live creative meet-ups on Wednesdays, where you can chat with other artists, a private facebook and flickr group, and a pdf with notes from each broadcast.

If you can't make the Live times, that's a-ok - there will be a recording to visit when it's good for you.
