Bustle, Nest and Stolen Kisses
Something about this time of year just makes me want to slow down, reflect, nurture and nest... or just wake up slow and spend all day mixing colors, words or music while the world spins by outside. That's the dream scenario for December, in my book.
But that's the thing - while I want to slow down, it seems like deadlines and gatherings and obligations all just accelerate, taking that nesting and creative time right with it. I have to steal kisses with my studio behind the full calendar pages.
So I've been a busy bee buzzing in the bustle. But I've managed to sneak some stolen studio kisses and work a little here and a little there on a Fearless painting for DEEP... it's off to the usual exhilarating rollercoaster ride, surprises and discoveries included...
That's from the first session. It's looking WAY different now... some critters have creeped in... and some vibration.... and with all of the time between my sessions, I'm glad I'm keeping a video running of this one in process. I can't wait to see it and share it.
In the meantime, my studio waits while I'm back to the bustle. At least BlueJay has the right idea... my ever-faithful studio companion in his nest. :)
