This is a look inside my mother's art journal. **

It's her birthday today.

She's one of the most dedicated art journalers I know. And her journals are just delicious... you'll see.

She does it as her therapy, her solitude and healing sanctuary, the place to know herself intimately, and as a place to connect with her spiritual truth. Within each one are pieces, parts and words from everyone in her family and life - that may be one of my favorite parts - this is a daily practice for her, a way of capturing and documenting her story, of getting out of her head and into her truth - a true testimony to living the creative process.

I'm honored that she agreed to let me share a glimpse into one here. I only wish that you could touch and hold one yourself. You can practically feel the love she puts into them.
