Where the Lines Are Drawn - altered book art journal spread
We define our life, our form, our mark, our potential-made-manifest, beginnings and ends... by where we draw the lines... and what edges and shapes we choose to see and fill with our time, attention and presence.
And then there's how much pressure we apply... holding loose, gripping strong.... swift or like honey. Tone, rhythm and pace give different responses, too.
What lines catch your heart and eye? Which one begs you to follow its trail?
What shadows call to be seen? What lights up when you look its way and holds you longer than a pulse?
Where are the lines just waiting to be given voice and place in your layers and pages of life?
Look close - they're already there.
Play with them, make them bolder, stronger, more fluid... then let them go - just enough to breathe, take space or become more, if becoming is what is in the moment.
You can change your mind, and the lines might change you. You may have to adjust and adapt to something unexpected, of course...
but think ofcan you feel the possibilities in where the lines are drawn?
